Rose McGowan

"Rose" McGowan (born on September 5 1973) is an American actress and
activist. McGowan's first film role was in the comedy Encino Man (1992),
however she was recognized for her role in The Doom Generation (1995) which
earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance.
Her first big role came in the film horror Scream in 1996. She then headlined
the films Jawbreaker (1999) and Devil in the Flesh (2000). During the 2000s,
McGowan became known to viewers on television for her performance in the role
of Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). She
went on to star in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's double-feature film
Grindhouse (2007) for which she was nominated for both the Saturn Award for
Best Actress and the Scream Award for Best Scream Queen. Her debut album,
Planet 9, was released in the year of 2018. It was followed by a re-release of
Planet 9 in 2020. McGowan was dubbed one of the Silence Breakers in 2017 by
Time magazine. This honor recognizes McGowan's advocacy for sexual harassment
and sexual assault specifically in the context of Harvey Weinstein cases of
sexual assault and the Me Too movement. Brave is her autobiography. Citizen
Rose was her documentary series. Both were released in 2018.
